Many people wrongly think, “Goal setting is unspiritual because it shows a lack of trust. Instead, people should wait for God to lead them.‚” Granted, God doesn’t want us to forge ahead in pride without consulting Him for direction. But neither does He want us to sit around without acting, because He has given us gifts, talents and has also said that we are called to do good works. (Eph. 2: 8-10, Romans 12:4-8, Matthew 25:14-30). Basically utilizing His Will, Gifts and Direction, to create a plan for success. Someone else’s plan is something we do but our plan is something we live.
What is your plans? ( is it inspired by your preference or God’s purpose for your life? )
Side note: how can you tell? Look at your goals unbiasedly and separating them from yourself for a moment, are they a reflection of your preference or your God given purpose?
1 Bring your goals to God
Bring your goals to God by saying, “Lord, I want to do this for your glory. I realize that I can’t accomplish anything truly good without your divine empowerment. Help me.” Godly goal crushing begins by humbly praying over our goals. It begins by lifting our goals to the Lord.
3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
